my philosophy

I believe healing happens through connection, to ourselves, our bodies, our emotions, and the people around us. My approach blends traditional psychotherapy with somatic and nervous-system-informed practices to support deeper awareness, emotional regulation, and lasting change. Through mindfulness, movement, and relational healing, I help clients better understand patterns shaped by stress, trauma, attachment, and life transitions. I bring warmth, curiosity, and collaboration to the therapeutic relationship, creating a space where honesty, self-discovery, and meaningful growth can unfold.

my approach

My path toward body-centered psychotherapy began with a deep curiosity about the connection between our emotional experiences, nervous systems, and the ways our bodies carry stress, grief, protection, and resilience. Over time, I became increasingly drawn to approaches that extend beyond insight alone, helping people reconnect with themselves in a more compassionate, embodied way.

I hold a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Commonwealth University and am completing my Master’s in Counseling Education with a concentration in Couples and Family Counseling. My work is informed by training in somatic integration, Polyvagal Theory, meridian-based acupressure, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation, alongside traditional psychotherapy, relational counseling, and collaborative co-parenting practices.

As a yoga instructor and therapist-in-training, I bring warmth, presence, and a grounded, human approach to the therapeutic process. I believe therapy should be a collaborative space where clients feel safe, supported, and respected as they explore their experiences, deepen self-understanding, and create meaningful change.
